The Yonico 14189 T-Track Router Bit cuts T-slots for T-track bolts with 1-1/8' wide x 5-16' high bolt heads and up to with 3/8' shaft thickness. Can also be used to make slat wall boards. WHITESIDE Special T-Slot Router Bits are designed to make easy work of creating your own professional woodworking jigs and fixtures. The Medium T-Slot measures 3/4' W and 3/16' H at the base with a 1/2' shank. It requires the cutting of a 3/8' straight groove prior to routing the “T”. I have a router bit for making slat wall panels. I built a jig to make my own, with slots going short ways across the sheet. I managed to cut one sheet with a 4 inch dust hose taped to the side of the router. Its too hard on my router. I wouldn’t do it again with out a panel router.
2 flute, Carbide Tipped. Plunging the bit produces 3/8' or 1/2' hole and moving the router creates a T‑slot which will accept the head of a screw or nail. Used for hanging pictures, plaques, clocks, brackets, etc. flush to the wall without additional hardware.

I cut a groove before using this bit to form the kerf of the T-slot. Worked smoothly, for me, in hard maple.
